Privacy Policy
GetAreaCode.com is committed to protecting visitor privacy. The statements below disclose our current privacy practices.

What information do we collect?
GetAreaCode.com is a static, read-only directory of North American Numbering Plan area codes. We do not require an account, and you can use the site anonymously. The only personal data we receive is what you voluntarily submit via the contact form: your name, email address, subject, and the message you write.
We retain submitted messages only as long as needed to respond to them or to comply with applicable law.
What do we use your information for?
Information you submit through the contact form may be used to:
- Reply to your question, correction, or feedback.
- Investigate data accuracy issues you report and apply fixes to the dataset.
- Comply with legal obligations where required.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing. We do not run mailing lists; we will only email you in direct reply to a message you sent us.
How do we protect your information?
The contact form is submitted over HTTPS to Formspree, our form-handling provider, which delivers the message to our team mailbox. Submissions are encrypted in transit. While we take reasonable steps to safeguard data, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Do we use cookies?
GetAreaCode.com itself does not set tracking cookies. We may use a privacy-friendly analytics tool that records aggregate, non-identifying traffic information such as page views, referrers, and approximate country. Any cookies set by third-party embeds (e.g. Formspree on the contact form) are governed by those providers' own policies.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. Exceptions:
- Trusted service providers (such as Formspree for contact-form delivery) that help us operate the site, only to the extent strictly necessary and under their own privacy terms.
- When required by law, court order, or to investigate fraud, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Service.
Aggregate, non-identifying visitor statistics may be shared for analytics or editorial purposes.
Third-party links
GetAreaCode.com links to authoritative sources such as NANPA, FCC, CRTC, Wikipedia, and government statistical agencies. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Data sources & area-code information
Area code, city, and population data shown on this site are aggregated from public sources: the US Census Bureau (Population Estimates Program, Vintage 2024), NANPA Central Office Code Assignment Records, NANPA NPA Database, and equivalent national authorities for Caribbean territories and Canada. We do not collect, store, or sell individual phone numbers, and we do not provide reverse-phone-lookup services. The site contains no consumer phone-number database.
Children's privacy
GetAreaCode.com is a general-audience reference site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Your consent
By using GetAreaCode.com, you consent to this Privacy Policy. If you have questions, please reach out via the contact form.
